Lately I’ve been using an app called Seek, which identifies flora and fauna in your designated location. Seek is available for both Mac iOS and Android. It’s super fun! You just point your phone at a plant or animal and it tells you the scientific or common name (your choice). I know most of the plants and flowers in my neighborhood now. Animals in the wild are harder to ID as they’re often moving fast—it identifies humans and domestic animals much more easily. After Seek IDs something, I take a screenshot of the item AND its name; otherwise the image just goes into the app without the name.
